The mission of Summer Sings is to gather singers from across the city to build community through a one-night-only rehearsal and live-stream performance of a major work (or two!) with local conductors and professional soloists from Vocal Arts Nashville.

Singing participants should arrive at 6:30 for rehearsal

Supporting attendees should arrive at 8:00 PM or view the live stream

Repertoire - Leonard Bernstein - Chichester Psalms & [REPERTOIRE CHANGE]  - Felix Mendelssohn - Richte mich, Gott

Conductors - Mary Bond (Nashville Children's Chorus Curriculum Director and Faculty Coordinator for the Poco a Poco Young Artist Training Festival), Matthew Phelps (Founding Artistic Director of Vocal Arts Nashville, Minister of Music at West End UMC, and Artistic Director of Collegium Cincinnati)

Schedule of events - Singers will begin rehearsal at 6:30 PM. They will have a break with provided refreshments at 7:40 PM, which will be an opportunity to connect with the other singers. At 8 PM, we will perform the works on live-stream which will be available for anyone to listen as well as any attendees who may wish to listen in person*
