Administrative Director
Chase Lowery is an aspiring young tenor, conductor, and arts administrator with an expansive solo voice, choral and musical background. Originally from Chattanooga, TN, Lowery was a former member of the Chattanooga Boys Choir under the direction of Vincent Oakes, where he sang in choirs from 3rd grade to Senior Year of high school. Performing all across the southeast at festivals and colleges, during his time in the group he sang in international festival engagements at Carnegie Hall and in Costa Rica. Along with other choral opportunities all throughout the Chattanooga area, Lowery had the pleasure of attending Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts as a Vocal Performance major for 7 years. There he was part of their award winning choir classes, participated in regional and state competition events and sang in CCA’s Vocal Jazz Ensemble, all under the direction of Neshawn Calloway.

Going on to pursue a bachelors degree in Vocal Performance from Belmont University, Lowery continued his love of choral music in Belmont’s Chamber Singers group directed by Dr. Deen Entsminger and in Belmont’s Flagship Chorale group under the direction of Dr. Jeffery Ames. During his time at Belmont, Lowery dove in to the classical music side of “Music City” under the voice teaching of Dr. Mark Whatley and direction of Dr. Savanna Sokolnicki.
In his administrative work, Lowery helped create Curtain’s Up! An all major musical theater organization on Belmont’s campus as the group’s founding Vice President, where he was also able to serve as an assistant music director, and conductor for the orgs performances. Lowery has a passion for music education and strives to provide music education opportunities for students of all ages. In partnership with the Artistic Direction of Dr. Lesley Mann, Lowery is focusing on widening the group’s presence as one of the only professional choral ensembles in Nashville and expanding VAN's music education opportunity and outreach in the community.
